Economist Christopher Thornberg has left the UCLA Anderson Forecast to strike out on his own. He has been known for his bearish forecasts of California's real estate economy, and has partnered with San Francisco economist Jon D. Haveman of the Public Policy Institute of California to form Beacon Economics.
